It came as a massive surprise to many when Mumbai used one of their RTMs on Kieron Pollard. He wasn't in great form and considering he doesn't bowl any more, the decision is all the more baffling.

Pollard had a torrid time this IPL, scoring just 133 runs in 9 matches, at a strike rate of 130. Taking into account his poor returns all season, it is surprising that he did indeed manage to play nine matches.
It is unlikely that he will get any opportunities next season.
