Parthiv Patel represented CSK for three seasons in the IPL

Parthiv Patel formed a formidable opening partnership with Mathew Hayden for Chennai Super Kings from 2008 - 2010. IPL 4 saw him join forces with Brendon McCullum for Kochi Tuskers Kerala. After Kochi became defunct, Deccan Chargers bought him in 2012.

2013 saw him appear for Sunrisers Hyderabad and was one of the pioneers in steering them to the playoffs. Royal Challengers Bangalore bagged him in 2014 and had a fairly good season. Mumbai Indians used the pre-season transfer window to take his services in 2015.

He and his opening partner Lendl Simmons helped Mumbai win their second title in 2015. He went one step ahead in 2017 as he top-scored in Mumbai's title triumph. He scored 395 runs at the top of the order along with Jos Buttler. In 2018 he went back to RCB and he will be playing under Virat Kohli in 2019 as well.
