#5 Jasprit Bumrah has picked five wickets on a no-ball in International cricket thus far

Well, it's one thing that Jasprit Bumrah has the ability to pick wickets at regular intervals, it is another thing that he often takes wickets on no-balls. In his three-year international career thus far, Bumrah has picked up five wickets on no-balls and on two occasions, the no-ball cost India very dearly.

The first occasion was the 2017 Champions Trophy, where he was successful in dismissed Fakhar Zaman early in the innings but that delivery was ruled as a no-ball and Fakhar Zaman went on to score a century in the CT 2017 final, which was ultimately won by Pakistan.

Another big occasion where Bumrah picked up a wicket off a no-ball came in late 2017 when India played Sri Lanka at Dharamsala. The home side were bowled out for a very low score and needed early wickets to stay in the game.

Bumrah dismissed Gunathilaka and kept India's hopes alive. Soon, Upul Tharanga too nicked a Jasprit Bumrah delivery to Dinesh Karthik at gully but Bumrah had overstepped that time and so Tharanga stayed. Sri Lanka won that match comfortably in the end as Upul starred with 49 runs in the chase.

Jasprit Bumrah got his Test Cap in the year 2018 when India toured South Africa. The South Africans batted first in the Test match but were off to a rocky start as Bhuvneshwar Kumar's three wickets had reduced them to 12-3 inside five overs.

The pressure was mounting on the Proteas but then the experienced duo of AB de Villiers and Faf du Plessis tried to rebuild the innings with a solid partnership.

They both stitched a 114-run partnership which was broken by the debutante Jasprit Bumrah when the Gujarati pacer knocked off the stumps of AB de Villiers and picked up his first ever Test wicket.

Bumrah was able to pick only one wicket in the first innings but he bettered his performance in the 2nd innings by scalping three wickets which even included the wicket of AB de Villiers.

Whenever the Indian team wants to try a new player, on most of the occasions, they hand him his international cap on home soil or while touring a weak opponent. However, Jasprit Bumrah is a rare player with a rare set of debuts.

Bumrah made his List A debut in Singapore while playing for the India U-23 side against the Pakistan U-23 side. Another fact to be noted here is that Jasprit was just 18 years old when he represented the U-23 side.

Later on, Bumrah made his ODI debut against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground, which was the only match that India won in that series. Soon, he made his T20I debut at the Adelaide Oval and recently in 2018, he earned his maiden Test cap at Cape Town against South Africa.

Jasprit Bumrah made the headlines by emerging as the highest wicket-taker of the series in his debut T20I series. The then Indian captain MS Dhoni hailed Jasprit Bumrah as the find of the tour after India clean swept Australia 3-0 in the T20I series.

However, one unnoticed thing was that James Faulkner was dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah in both his ODI debut match as well as his T20I debut match. In the ODI game, Bumrah knocked off his stumps in the 49th over which helped India restrict Australia in the 1st innings. While, on his T20I debut, Jasprit Bumrah once again cleaned up James Faulkner.

An 18-year-old Jasprit Bumrah made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in the 2nd match of the 2013 edition of the league. Playing with the likes of Mitchell Johnson and Munaf Patel, Jasprit was asked to bowl the 5th over of the RCB innings.

With Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli on the batting crease, even the world's best bowler would not want to bowl an over. But, Jasprit Bumrah bowled the first over of his IPL career to these batsmen and he even scalped the wicket of Virat Kohli as the RCB skipper was trapped leg before by Bumrah.

Bumrah then dismissed Mayank Agarwal and Karun Nair in that innings and finished with figures of 3-32. However, Mumbai Indians failed to win that match as they fell short by two runs in the end.
