#3 Paul Valthaty

Paul Valthaty wasted no time in making an impression for the Kings XI Punjab during the 2011 season of the IPL. He announced himself as a destructive batsman at the top of the order and got his side off to a flyer on a regular basis.

He impressed a lot of people with his destructive batting and clean hitting. He finished the season with 463 runs at an average of 35.61 and a strike-rate of 136.98. This showed that he not only scored quickly but that he scored big as well.

The following season saw a change in fortune for the batsman. He scored just 30 runs from the six games he played in during the 2012 season and has since failed to recapture the destructiveness and consistency which he one displayed.
