Yet another cricketer from Karnataka, yet another player who played just one season with the Mumbai Indians. Robin Uthappa played for the Mumbai Indians in the 2008 edition of the IPL. Despite performing well, he was traded for Zaheer Khan to the Royal Challengers Bangalore. During his short stint, Uthappa made 277 runs at a healthy average of 34.62 and a strike rate of 114 in the 14 games he played.

The IPL stalwart has been consistent for all the sides that he has played for – Mumbai Indians, RCB, the now defunct Pune Warriors India, and most notably for his current side Kolkata Knight Riders. In 165 games, he’s managed to score 4086 runs at a commendable average of 28.57 and an impressive strike rate of 131.84.
