Kings XI Punjab is among the few sides who have never won the IPL title. They came as close as the final of 2014 but lost to Kolkata Knight Riders in a solid encounter.

Glen Maxwell, Virender Sehwag, Mitchell Johnson, they had a long list of superstars but all failed to deliver the IPL trophy.

The winner of the Arjuna Award was the icon and captain of the King XI Punjab in the first two seasons of the IPL. He went on to play for the Pune Warriors and then had brief spells with the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils, and Sunrisers Hyderabad before returning back to Kings XI Punjab.

His experience will play a vital role in King's XI squad this year and will add stability to their middle order.

KL Rahul has enjoyed decent spells with Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Banglore in the previous editions of IPL. He has scored 725 runs with an average of 30.20 and has four IPL half-centuries to his name.

His record with the Indian national team is even more impressive and has scored one century and three half-centuries in just 13 games. He averaged 47.60 runs per games and have the highest score of 110.

He will likely to open the innings with Aaron Finch and will also be given the responsibility to carry the gloves behind the wickets.

The Australian International has played 65 IPL games and scored 1604 runs with an average of 27.65. He has recorded 13 IPL half-centuries to his name and has a high-score of 88 runs. He is known as an aggressive batsman and has a strike rate of little over 130.

Aaron Finch has ten T20 centuries to his name and currently holds the record of scoring most runs (156) in a T20 international.
