Alyssa Healy’s mother's name is Sandy Healy and her father is Greg Healy, who was a former cricketer and played domestic cricket with Queensland Bulls.

Alyssa Healy’s uncle, Ian Healy was a former cricketer who played for Australian team from 1988 to 1999. Ian holds the world record for the most Test dismissals. Alyssa has three cousins from her uncle Ian Healy- Emma Healy, Laura Healy and Tom Healy. Alyssa’s cousin Tom Healy is a wicketkeeper, currently playing Australia U19 cricket.

In her childhood, Alyssa Healy never took any interest in cricket and had no intentions of pursuing cricket as a career. But when she moved to Sydney, she had to choose one sport in his school as a subject, so Alyssa chose cricket, which was the turning point in her career.

Alyssa Healy was the first girl from New South Wales, who played in a boys cricket team in any private schools of New South Wales. She got selected in the ‘Australia Youth Team,’ even before her debut in the senior domestic cricket.

Apart from cricket, she has also played hockey. In hockey, she represented the New South Wales U-21 team in 2010 and 2011.

She is also a golfer and has a single digit handicap.

Alyssa Healy is the record-holder for the most dismissals as a wicketkeeper, male or female, in the T20I format. Alyssa is also the first Australian female wicket-keeper to score an ODI century for the Aussies, achieving the feat against India in March, 2018.

The 32-year-old scripted her name in the history books after registering a match-winning century in the Women's World Cup final against England in 2022.. Healy's knock of 170 off 138 balls made her the first cricketer at a men's or women's World Cup to post back-to-back centuries in a final and semi-final.

In the process, she also registered the highest-ever score in a World Cup final, surpassing Adam Gilchrist's previous record of 149 runs in the 2007 World Cup. She also broke a 25-year-old record for the most runs scored in a single women’s World Cup, amassing 509 runs.
