These were the words of India’s World Cup winning hero, Gautam Gambhir.

A decision that left every Indian cricket fan emotional, the retirement of Gautam Gambhir. Alongside this, Gauti posted a very emotional video in which he explained the reason for his retirement and thanked everyone for supporting him.

Somehow we all felt that Gambhir deserved more from Indian cricket, a hero like him should have had a proper farewell but it was not to be. Still in his last innings for Delhi in Ranji trophy, he smashed a magnificent hundred and left the field with head held high.

Careers like these are never forgotten. Gautam Gambhir will always be remembered for his crucial performances for team India whether it was that test innings in Napier or the finals of 2007 and 2011 World Cups.
