The 2025 installment of the Women's Premier League was yet another opportunity for the Gujarat Giants Women to finally stamp their authority on the league. The Gujarat-based franchise had failed to light up the WPL in the first couple of seasons, finishing at the bottom of the table in both instances.

According to WPL's official website, the Ashleigh Gardner-led team finished at the third spot in the points table in WPL 2025 after winning four matches out of eight league-stage matches, qualifying for the Playoffs for the first time since the inception of the franchise-based tournament. However, the Eliminator proved to be a bridge too far for them to breach as the Mumbai Indians Women knocked the Giants out of the competition, courtesy of a comprehensive 47-run victory at the Brabourne Stadium.

Gujarat Giants women's schedule for WPL 2025

The Gujarat Giants Women, led by superstar Australian all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner, began their campaign against the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on 14th February. The stadium served as their home venue, where they battled UP Warriorz Women on February 16 and the Mumbai Indians Women two days later.

Their first away match was against the Delhi Capitals Women at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on the 25th of February. The historic venue also hosted RCB's home fixture against the Giants on the 27th.

The Giants moved to Lucknow to battle UP Warriorz Women and Delhi Capitals Women at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on March 03 and 07, respectively. Their final round-robin match took place against the Mumbai Indians Women at the historic Braboune Stadium in Navi Mumbai on March 10. The Giants played the Eliminator against Mumbai Indians Women at the same venue on March 13, as per WPL's official website.
