Manish Pandey will have to anchor the Sunrisers Hyderabad's middle-order

The first Indian player to score an IPL century, Manish Pandey, has been around for a long time.

He has been the backbone of the Kolkata Knight Riders' middle-order and that led to Sunrisers Hyderabad paying an astounding Rs 11 crore to finally grab hold of him.

He will have a massive fee to justify and the responsibility of anchoring the middle-order yet again, as Sunrisers Hyderabad lack the quality in the lower-middle order.

He has been in and out of the Indian ODI team as he has failed to capitalise on the opportunities presented to him.

He will have to be amongst the top run scorers this season to keep himself ahead in the race for the crucial No. 4 and No. 5 slots in the Indian team, a year ahead of the World Cup.
