IPL 2015 Final: Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings - Venue, date and predicted line-ups
Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the final of the 2015 Indian Premier League (IPL). The match will be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
CSK had a troubled ride to the finals as they were defeated in the first qualifier by the red hot MI but courtesy of their finish at the top of the league table, they got another shot at reaching the final in the second qualifier. Coming up against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the heroics of Ashish Nehra and Michael Hussey ensured that they qualified for the final.
MI, on the other hand, having lost the first four matches of their season, came back formidably to become the first team to reach the finals. They are in terrific form and will be wanting to repeat their heroics of IPL 2013 when they beat CSK in the final at the Eden Gardens – the venue of this year’s final.
In the head-to-head battle, MI have a narrow advantage as they have won 11 of their 21 meetings in the IPL with CSK winning 10.
