Kaul-Bhuvi are the backbone of SRH's bowling attack

IPL is a platform for the domestic cricketers to get themselves into the spotlight and gain attention of the fans and the selectors, which, later on, can lead to their rise in both the aspects - career growth as well as the paycheck.

Over the years, many uncapped bowlers like Manpreet Gony, Mohit Sharma, Sandeep Sharma, Pravin Tambe, Siddarth Kaul, Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal et al have done the job for their captains which many international campaigners failed to do.

Let's take a look at those uncapped Indian players who can go on to win the Purple Cap in the upcoming season:

#4 Krishnappa Gowtham

Taking forward his phenomenal domestic form to the IPL

Krishnappa Gowtham made the headlines after becoming the most expensive uncapped spinner in the IPL player auctions after Rajasthan Royals signed him for Rs. 6.2 crores.

For his domestic side, Karnataka, he has been hailed as a T20 specialist, portraying his quality both with the ball and bat. Last year, Mumbai Indians invested Rs. 2 crores on him, which was 20 times his base price, only to sideline him throughout the season.

However, the RR squad combination shouts out loud about the routine involvement of the 29-year-old in their expedition, who is expected to lead the spin-attack & one of the contenders to put hands on the Purple Cap.

#3 Rahul Chahar

Didn't get enough opportunities with RPS

The young leg-spinner from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs. 1.9 crores, after being a part of Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017. With a dearth of quality spinners the MI-setup, Rahul Chahar is expected to be a regular part of MI spin attack.

The 18-year-old has played seven T20s so far, picking up eight wickets at a miser economy of 6.95. He has a big task up his sleeves to contain the opposition batsmen in the middle-overs, therefore a massive opportunity to grab the Purple Cap.

#2 Deepak Chahar

Deepak Chahar has already played under the captaincy of MS Dhoni

The Agra-born seam bowler and elder brother of Rahul, Deepak Chahar was roped-in by Chennai Super Kings for Rs. 80 lacs. He was a part of Rising Pune Supergiant for the last two years. He has played only five games in the IPL, performing below par with only a wicket to his name.

However, the 25-year-old has turned the tables upside down in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2017/18, where he finished as the highest wicket-taker in the tournament. Chahar scalped 19 wickets from nine matches at an astounding economy rate of just 5.58 runs per over.

CSK, having a knack discovering Indian bowling talent, might have stumbled on the right person who could bring home the Purple Cap.

#1 Siddarth Kaul

Kaul started his IPL career with Delhi Daredevils

The Pathankot-born fast bowler, Siddarth Kaul, saw an exponential rise in his career after joining the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

He picked up 16 wickets from 10 matches in 2017 season, perfectly supporting his fellow pacer and the Purple Cap winner, Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The Punjab lad trims down the workload on other bowlers, having the ability to bowl yorkers at the death.

SRH camp will expect him to keep the ball rolling in the upcoming season as well and replicate his fellow bowler to bring the Purple Cap home.
