CSK play their penultimate game of the league stage against DD

Amidst all the hullabaloo over the race for playoff spots, Delhi Daredevils and Chennai Super Kings face off in a dead rubber at the Feroz Shah Kotla in the nation's capital. Both the teams have had contrasting fortunes in the tournament - while CSK are already through to the playoffs, DD have been knocked out of the 2018 IPL and will finish the league with the wooden spoon.

CSK, though, are still not assured of a top two spot and would want to register a win tonight to keep Kolkata Knight Riders, the only team who can possibly take over them, at bay. Here's how MS Dhoni's team might line up tonight in Delhi.

Shane Watson: The Australian all-rounder has been at his best with the bat in this edition of the IPL. Watson has 424 runs in the tournament, second highest amongst all the CSK batsmen. He has a century to his name as well.

Ambati Rayudu: After being promoted up the order, Rayudu has been a revelation for the Chennai-based franchise. He has 535 runs in 12 innings at an average of over 35. Tonight, once again, Rayudu would open the batting with Watson and provide CSK with another solid start.

Suresh Raina: The left-hand batsman hasn't had the best of IPLs by his standards. However, he still has over 300 runs to show for and three half-centuries as well. Raina would continue walking in at three for CSK.

MS Dhoni: The former Indian captain has had the best IPL of his career. Dhoni has 413 runs in 12 matches this season and has won CSK quite a few matches with his finishing prowess. Number four is where he would walk out to bat tonight.

Sam Billings: The Englishman has played eight matches in the IPL and has just over 100 runs in them. Billings was a part of the squad in CSK's last match as well, however, he didn't get the chance to bat as the top order took the team home.

Ravindra Jadeja: The Indian all-rounder has had a dismal IPL season so far and would want to better his 59 runs and seven wickets returns at the business end of the tournament.

Dwayne Bravo: Bravo was CSK's hero in the tournament's opening match against Mumbai Indians. However, since then the West Indian has failed to replicate his performances from the previous editions and has only 133 runs and nine wickets to show for.

Harbhajan Singh: Harbhajan has played 10 matches in the tournament so far and has picked up seven wickets in them. The off-spinner would want to get back to his best as the tournament enters the playoff phase in a week's time.

Deepak Chahar: The elder of Chahar brothers has impressed quite a few pundits and fans with his swing bowling. He has seven wickets in eight matches, however, what stands out is his economy of 7.29 considering the fact that he bowls majority of his overs in the powerplay.

Shardul Thakur: The Indian international has been on the expensive side with the ball, however, the fact that he scalped two wickets in the last match would mean that he will hold on to his place in the side.

Lungi Ngidi: The South African youngster will replace David Willey in the side as the Englishman hasn't been at his best in the limited chances he's been given. Ngidi has three wickets in three matches and has leaked runs at a decent economy of 7.81.
