His bowling speed is an aspect to watch out for

The 24-year-old speedster is one of the rising talents in India, clicking 140+ km/h constantly and even kissing the higher 140s from time to time. The short, quick, and skiddy nature of his make him an uncommon commodity.

Making his domestic cricket debut in January, the Kerela fast bowler scalped five wickets in two T20s, whereas he took a 3-for in a lone List A match, which was enough for Chennai Super Kings to grab him for ₹40 lacs & be a crucial part in their campaign having a dearth of genuine pace bowlers.

#7 Rahul Tewatia (Delhi Daredevils)

The wrist spinners are on a rise these days & Rahul Tewatia is one of the rising stars amongst them. The Haryana cricketer has the ability to restrict the batsmen in middle overs with subtle variations in the pace and turn. Furthermore, he is a handy lower order left-handed batsman who can score quick runs in unorthodox style.

The 24-year-old has been around since 2014 in the cash-rich league, but only a handful of opportunities couldn't determine his fate. Having been a part of Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab in the past, Delhi Daredevils is the franchise where he will be getting more chances, as he became a well-seasoned player in the past one year.

#6 Akshdeep Nath (Kings XI Punjab)

Might get a nod ahead of KL Rahul as the wicket-keeper

The dark horse amongst the uncapped players, Akshdeep Nath was observed quite a few times in the last season, fielding as a substitute for Gujarat Lions. He was given a few scattered opportunities but couldn't grab them as he managed to score only a handful of runs in four innings.

The tables turned in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the 24-year-old after he scored 127 runs at a healthy average of 63.50, striking at ominous 156.79 runs per 100 balls.

Furthermore, he is an electric fielder and more than handy behind the stumps with the gloves, the elements that Kings XI Punjab won't mind of having in an uncapped bloke.

#5 Shubman Gill (Kolkata Knight Riders)

He idolizes Sachin Tendulkar & Virat Kohli

Kolkata Knight Riders look slightly thin on batting, with the lack of experienced Indian batsmen, barring Robin Uthappa and the skipper Dinesh Karthik, thereby giving a fair chance to the youngster in order to build his stature in the cash-rich league.

Shubman Gill was the 'Man of the tournament' in recently concluded ICC U-19 World Cup, which bolsters his chances of getting some significance in the KKR squad.

#4 Krishnappa Gowtham (Rajasthan Royals)

Apart from bowling spin, he is handy lower-order batsman

Krishnappa Gowtham made the headlines after becoming the most expensive uncapped spinner in the IPL player auctions after Rajasthan Royals signed him for ₹ 6.2 crores.

In his domestic side, Karnataka, he is hailed as a T20 specialist, portraying his quality both with the ball and bat. Last year, Mumbai Indians invested ₹ 2 crores on him, which was 20 times his base price, only to sideline him throughout the season.

However, the RR squad combination shouts out loud about the routine involvement of the 29-year-old in their expedition, who is expected to lead the spin-attack.

#3 Kulwant Khejroliya (Royal Challengers Bangalore)

Will be interesting to see how Virat utilizes the left-arm pacer

The Rajasthan-born Kulwant Khejroliya, who plays for Delhi in the domestic circuit, is a lanky left-arm pacer who started his first-class career in the 2017/18 season.

The 25-year-old was the leading wicket-taker for Delhi and played a significant role in their title triumph in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. After warming the benches for Mumbai Indians in 2017, he was roped-in by Royal Challengers Bangalore for ₹ 85 lacs.

RCB, having only Umeh Yadav as an experienced Indian fast bowler, have to rely on the left-arm pacer to provide the reinforcement to the pace attack.

#2 Siddarth Kaul (Sunrisers Hyderabad)

The Pathankot-born fast bowler, Siddharth Kaul, saw an exponential rise in his career success since joining the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He picked up 16 wickets from 10 matches in 2017 season, perfectly supporting his fellow pacer and the purple-cap winner, Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

The Punjab lad trims the workload of the skipper David Warner, having the ability to bowl yorkers at the death. SRH camp will expect him to keep the ball rolling in the upcoming season as well.

#1 Krunal Pandya (Mumbai Indians)

Krunal Pandya is arguably the best uncapped player in the IPL.

The 26-year-old's consistency was a remarkable factor for Mumbai Indians to emerge as the champions in 2017. The left-hander's return to MI using the Right To Match card was self-evident, given his performance last season, where he scored 243 runs and scalped 10 wickets.

In addition to that, Pandya was the 'Man of the match' award winner in last season's final and his price tag testifies how pivotal he is going to be in MI's title defense.
