Not many people know that the Mumbai Indians' latest sensation Mayank Markande was a part of India’s Under-19 squad in 2016. He came into limelight when he represented Punjab in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2017-18, where he showcased his skills by picking 5 wickets in 4 matches. On the back of that performance, the Punjab born leggie was roped in by MI for a mere Rs. 20 lakh in the auctions of IPL 2018.

The 20-year-old had an exceptional debut when picked up three crucial wickets for just 23 runs in his quota of 4 overs against CSK in the season opener.

With 11 wickets in 8 matches at an economy of 7.73, the leggie jointly leads the wickets column with Hyderabad's Siddarth Kaul.
