It was not a good day for Markande

Despite losing first two games of this edition, Mayank Markande was one of the bright spots for Mumbai Indians which was acknowledged by Rohit Sharma on both occasions.

He was again trusted with controlling runs in the middle over but he couldn’t replicate his success and struggled with the lengths bowling short compared to previous matches.

42 runs were conceded by him at an economy rate of 14 and he couldn’t complete his quota of overs.

Krunal Pandya was summoned to compensate his overs where he did a decent job by scalping couple of wickets but was not proved to be enough to secure a win for his side.
