There's hardly a month left for the world's most popular domestic T20 league to begin. This year's IPL is going to be a blockbuster as it marks the return of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals after both of them served a ban of two years.

Wicket keepers are often under rated in the team but we all know they play a significant role in their team's success. A good wicket keeper is always the key of a successful team as they save runs for the team and contribute a lot with the bat.

Let's look onto the wicket-keepers of each and every team to watch out for.

The captain cool is again back with the Chennai Super Kings and he'll be up to take them to win the coveted title for the 3rd time. Dhoni has been undoubtedly the best wicket keeper in international cricket from a long time now.

He has the most number of stumping bys any wicket keeper in international cricket with 148 stumpings in 439 matches (till 2017). Dhoni's exceptional wicket keeping skills has always left the cricket fraternity amazed.

Dhoni is also known as the best player to finish off a game. Who can forget his winning six which made India champions of the 2011 ICC World Cup. In his ODI Career, he has played 318 matches and scored 9967 runs at a sensational average of 51.37.

The captain of CSK has played 159 IPL matches and scored 3561 runs at an impressive average of 37.88. Dhoni will be up to amaze the spectators with his wicket keeping skills and fiery sixes. He will also be up to bring happiness back to the Whistle Podu army after winning the title.

The captain of the Knight Riders will be taking over the entire team's responsibility as well as the wicket-keeping roles. However, the most important job for him will be to score big runs for the team and, if we looking into his recent form, he has all the capability to do the same.

Karthik has some promising statistics in his career that makes him a worthy player. He has played 18 T20Is and scored 240 runs at an impressive strike rate of 139.53. In his first-class career, he has played 157 matches and scored 9214 runs at an astounding average of 42.07.

Dinesh Karthik gave a few promising performances for the Gujarat Lions in the last season. He scored 361 runs in 14 matches at a phenomenal strike rate of 139.38. Karthik, along with the captaincy, will be looking forward to scoring big runs and take his team to the coveted title for the third time.

Quinton de Kock is currently handling the wicket keeping responsibilities of the South African team and has proved to be quite impressive. Along with his extraordinary wicket-keeping skills, he has been a good hitter of the ball.

Quinton is currently ranked 7 in the ODI rankings. He has played 90 ODIs and scored 3860 runs at an exceptional average of 45.41. In his T20I career he has scored 801 runs in 31 matches at a decent strike rate of 127.96.

He has immensely contributed for the Daredevils in the previous seasons. He has 26 IPL matches and scored 726 runs at an extraordinary strike rate of 132.34. Quinton will be up to represent an altogether a different team and live up to the expectations of the team.

#5 Rishabh Pant - Delhi Daredevils

Rishabh Pant will be the one who shall be taking over the wicket-keeping responsibilities of the team. Pant has been in an exceptional form in the domestic season. He scored a lot of runs for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy including a ton against Himachal Pradesh.

Pant has been a core member of the Daredevils for the past two seasons. In the last season he scored 366 runs in the 14 matches he played at a phenomenal strike rate of 165.61.

Although Pant is currently struggling in the Nidahas Trophy, we all are aware of the immense capabilities that he possesses. Pant will be up to give a remarkable performance in this year's IPL and live upto the expectations of the team.

#6 Ishan Kishan - Mumbai Indians

Ishan Kishan would be the one who would be handed over the wicket-keeping responsibilities looking onto his performance in the domestic season both as a wicket-keeper and a batsman.

Kishan has been in a fantastic form in the List A cricket where he has scored 717 runs in his 21 matches at an impressive average of 35.85. This was the reason he was bought for a whopping price of Rs. 6.20 Cr.

Kishan will be up to continue his exemplary form in this year's IPL and live up to the expectations of the team.

#7 KL Rahul - Kings XI Punjab

Looking onto the squad of Kings XI Punjab, it looks like Rahul will be the one who will be taking over the wicket-keeping responsibilities of the team.

Rahul has played 14 T20Is in his career and scored 476 runs at an emphatic average of 47.6 and strike rate of 145.67. He is one of those Indian batsmen who have a T20I century. Rahul also has decent IPL statistics. He has played 39 matches and scored 725 runs which comprise of four half-centuries.

Rahul would be looking forward to take over the wicket-keeping responsibilities of the team and convert his good starts into big scores.

#8 Wriddhiman Saha - Sunrisers Hyderabad

Saha has played 32 Test matches and scored 1163 runs at a decent average of 30.63. He also has an impressive IPL record. He has played 104 IPL matches and scored 1557 runs at an incredible strike rate of 130.73.
