After retiring from international cricket in 2016, the 37-year-old Shane Watson continues to play in various T20 leagues across the globe.

Watson was the Most Valuable Player in the 1st edition of IPL. He won this title agan in the 6th edition of the tournament. He has played for Rajasthan Royals (2008-2015), Royal Challengers Bangalore (2016-2017) and Chennai Super Kings (2018-present) so far.

Watson's IPL numbers are very impressive. From 117 matches he has scored over 3000 runs averaging 32.41 at a strike rate of 141.20, and has also picked up 92 wickets. He scored an unbeaten 117 from 57 balls in the IPL 2018 final and led CSK to victory.

Currently, Watson is playing for Sydney Thunder in BBL and has scored 329 runs from 13 innings so far.

Watson will open the batting for CSK this year too, and he will be looking forward to continuing his form in 2019.
