#2 Ishan Porel

The talented right-arm fast medium bowler from Bengal was expected to land a lucrative IPL contract after his exploits with the ball during the victorious 2018 ICC Under 19 World Cup for the Indian colts. In the four matches he played, Porel took six wickets with his best figures being 4/17 against Pakistan in the semi-finals.

While many of his fellow teammates played the 2018 IPL, the 20-year-old was unlucky to have missed out. Even during the 2019 IPL auction, Porel was snubbed by the teams as he went unsold at a base price of INR 20 lakhs. It couldn't get any better than a Bengal pacer being roped in to bolster the KKR pace attack!

#3 Rajneesh Gurbani

Gurbani has been unlucky when it comes to the IPL. A consistent performer with the ball in the Indian domestic circuit, Gurbani went unsold at the 2018 IPL auction much to the surprise of everyone in spite of finishing as the second highest wicket-taker in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy.

Much to his dismay, he once again found no buyers at the 2019 IPL auction and went unsold at a base price of INR 20 lakhs. With no overseas pacer available at this price, Gurbani deserves an IPL contract for his consistency in the domestic scene and he will surely be a bargain buy capable of strengthening the KKR pace attack.
