#2 Rohit Sharma

Even after being so successful as an opener at the international level, Rohit Sharma has restrained himself from opening in the IPL.
However, he did give opening a shot last season when he opened in the first couple of matches. Unfortunately, Rohit scored 26 runs in those two outings and shifted back to the middle order.
Even though he provides a lot of balance to the side batting in the middle order, the Mumbai Indians skipper can be devastating as an opener and he surely should give himself some more time in that position.
#1 Quinton de Kock

Mumbai Indians added a big name in its squad even before the auction began. Mumbai Indians brought in Quinton de Kock from RCB in the trade window.
De Kock is currently one of the best wicket-keeper batsmen in World Cricket. Before moving to RCB, de Kock had a couple of fruitful seasons with the Delhi Daredevils where he batted with class and tenacity. Mumbai Indians will be hoping for big things from the South African and as a result, provide the team with flying starts.
