The biggest newsmaker in the IPL auctions this year was the batsman turned mystery spinner, Varun Chakravarthy, who was signed by Kings XI Punjab for a jaw-dropping bid of INR 8.4 crores.

The 27-year-old spinner is known for his seven different variations with the ball, and out of 40 overs that he bowled in Tamil Nadu Premier League, 20.5 were dots as batsmen found it hard to pick him from the hand.
