#7 Kings XI Punjab- Andrew Tye

Andrew Tye was the owner of the purple cap last season having claimed 24 wickets for the Kings XI Punjab but that was not enough to take his side to the playoffs.

He had seldom support from the others as well as the batsmen which was cited as the reason for their disappointing outing last season.

Tye's success in the last season was not surprising as he was a world-renowned T20 bowler and had been radar of quite a few teams before his debut in the IPL. The 32-year-old right arm fast bowler has been a great exponent of bowling at the death and will be a player to watch out even in the 2019 edition of the IPL.

In the 20 matches, he has played over the course two years for Gujarat Lions, and Kings XI Punjab, he has picked up 36 wickets including a 5 wicket haul.

Other possible options: Mohammad Shami and Sam Curran
