A dismal year for Ben Stokes

There is no doubt that Ben Stokes is one of the most feared batsmen in the shorter format of the game. Stoke's capability to hit those big sixes and be crucial in the last overs of the game is something that is required from every good all arounder.

However, this wasn't the story for Rajasthan Royals. While one would have expected a lot of fireworks from England all-rounder, Ben Stokes was underwhelming with both the bat and the ball. In 9 matches, he scored 123 runs with the bat and picked 6 wickets with an unpardonable economy of 11.22. Stokes failed to provide the experience in the bowling attack and was ineffective in the batting department as well.
