This has been a memorable IPL season for Delhi Capitals. The Delhi franchise has qualified for the playoffs after 7 years. It has been a complete team performance with every player chipping in with valuable contributions. While it will be unfair to call it a below par performance, but better things were expected of the leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane.

Lamichhane was introduced late in the playing XI last season but he impressed in the few matches he played for the franchise. The Nepal spinner was expected to continue the good work this season too, but unfortunately his performance hasn't been upto the mark.

Even though he has picked up 8 wickets in 6 matches, Lamichhane has leaked runs at a poor economy of 9.13. Interestingly, he has played most of his matches in Delhi where the pitch is conducive to spin bowling.

The Capitals might look to rope in a more experienced spin bowler next season.
