JP Duminy is one of the best and most consistent players to have ever played for the Delhi Capitals. His great performances though went unnoticed due to the side's overall failure and he received little recognition. He is quite handy with his off-spin and is a great middle order batsman.

Though the Capitals have a great top order, their middle order seems to be inexperienced and the underused Duminy should have been bought instead of someone like Keemo Paul. With almost no one bidding for him, it would've been a steal if Delhi managed to grab him for that price. He brings stability to the middle order and to the entire side and will be available for the entire tournament and doesn't have the pressure of the WC weighing down on him.
He didn't have such a great time at the Mumbai Indians last season but could've done the star turn for the Capitals.
