The number three spot is a no brainer really. It has to be Virat Kohli. As much as I like to see Virat open the innings, having him bat at number three just adds a bit more balance to the innings. He has really struggled this season with only one fifty to his name. Hence, it wouldn’t be a bad idea if he bats at the position he is most comfortable at.

Virat is such a big wicket and if he gets out early after opening the innings, it just puts a lot of unnecessary pressure on the middle order. I appreciate Kohli for wanting to take ownership and more responsibility as captain by opening the innings, but it may not be in his team’s best interest given his current form.
Moreover, batting at number three could help him pace his innings better. Therefore, it’s really a no brainer that Kohli should come in to bat at number three for RCB.

A wrestling aficionado since childhood, Sunil used to imitate his favorite wrestlers as a young kid, and started writing professionally about the sport via Sportskeeda’s revenue-sharing opportunity.
Sunil admires former world champions AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, and Kenny Omega for their ability to consistently deliver great matches as well as entertain crowds with their mic skills.
If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker. He would’ve also made that as Taker’s final match.
Always focused on making his work accurate and reliable, Sunil thoroughly checks his facts before writing his articles. When not writing for pro wrestling, he spends his time watching cricket.
