Virat Kohli is one of the greatest players in the history of T20 Cricket. The RCB captain recently became the second Indian batsmen to score more than 8000 runs in this format of the game. He has been part of RCB since the first edition of the IPL.

While he has done well on a personal level but the failure of the team has meant that he holds an unfortunate record. Kohli has been on the losing side 87 times in the IPL, which is more than any other player in the tournament.

This record proves that a player can only win certain games on his own. To triumph, on a consistent basis, you need a team effort. Considering the recent form of RCB, this record can only get worse unless the men from Bangalore do something extraordinary to change their fortunes.
