If you take a closer look at the Kolkata Knight Riders squad, you will realize that their best foreign pacer is Lockie Ferguson. The likes of Harry Gurney and Matthew Kelly have little experience of playing in Indian conditions. Also, Gurney and Ferguson have been conceding runs at a dismal rate in the death overs.

The team management could well replace both the fast bowlers by bringing Chris Jordan and Australian talent Kane Richardson into the team. Richardson last played in the IPL during the 2016 season but he has featured in 14 IPL games where he has taken 18 wickets at an impressive strike rate of 17.61.

The 28-year-old fast bowler has been phenomenal in the Big Bash League. He has played 59 games in the BBL, taking 73 wickets at an economy rate of 7.96.

The South Australia-based player is hailed as a white-ball specialist by many. He can solve KKR’s problem of keeping a check on the run rate by taking wickets at regular intervals.
