Mayank Agarwal needs to prove himself as a match-winner in the T20 format

Mayank Agarwal ruled the roost in Test cricket this year. He cemented his spot in the Indian Test team with some incredible performances in the batting department. However, the Karnataka-born batsman will look to break into India’s limited overs sides soon and, the first step in that direction will be to play good cricket in the IPL. He will bat at number 3 for Punjab as he has the talent to anchor the innings.

The former captain of Delhi Daredevils, Karun Nair has been underused by Kings XI Punjab. The team management could not decide Nair’s role in the team. But, this year, Anil Kumble should allot him the number 4 slot because he can play his natural game there. The right-handed batsman has the talent to pace the innings well hence, he can be a valuable asset for the team.

Glenn Maxwell will be the best pick to bat at the number 5 position. The former Delhi Capitals player had been the biggest impact player of IPL 2014 but, he could not replicate the same performance in the succeeding tourneys. He missed the previous season owing to the 2019 World Cup however, he will look to make a glorious return to the IPL this year.
