Shubman Gill: 3/10

Gill played a gorgeous drive before finding Pollard at mid-wicket with a mistimed pull. He is one of KKR's most important batsmen, and he will have to step up for them in IPL 2020.

Sunil Narine: 7/10

Narine was economical as ever with the ball as he conceded just 22 runs in his 4 overs, and picked up the wicket of Saurabh Tiwary as well. But he failed to make a mark with the bat, with his short-ball woes continuing to haunt him.

Dinesh Karthik: 6.5/10

Karthik promoted himself to No. 3, but failed to convert his start into a big score after being caught plumb in front by Rahul Chahar. The KKR captain might be forced to play in the finisher's role in upcoming IPL 2020 games.

Nitish Rana: 5.5/10

Rana has shown a tendency to get off to good starts in IPL seasons, and the same was set to continue until an excellent catch sent him back to the dugout. Along with Gill, he is one of KKR's most important batsmen and should perform at a higher level.

Eoin Morgan: 3/10

Morgan had a nightmare return to KKR as he struggled to put bat on ball. After being beaten numerous times by Rahul Chahar and Jasprit Bumrah, he nicked one to De Kock off the latter. The Englishman ended his quarantine period very recently, and should get better with practice.

Andre Russell: 4/10

Russell came in when the target was already daunting, and like Morgan, couldn't get going. Bumrah had the better of him for the most part of his short innings, and the West Indian was castled by the Indian speedster. He picked up the wicket of Hardik Pandya, albeit in fortuitous circumstances.

Nikhil Naik: 2/10

Naik simply cannot play as a full-time batsman as low as No. 7, and he proved the same by lasting just 3 balls. The wicket-keeper might be replaced by either Rahul Tripathi or Siddhesh Lad to provide some stability to the KKR middle order.

Pat Cummins: 4/10

Cummins had a disastrous first outing with the ball as he leaked 49 runs in his 3 overs. The most expensive overseas player in IPL auction history was far too short and wayward, although he did manage to salvage some pride by carting Bumrah for 4 sixes in the same over.

Shivam Mavi: 7/10

Mavi bowled a superb spell with the new ball as he dismissed De Kock and was accurate. The young pacer was decent if not very impressive at the death, and bowled a tight final over to Pollard.

Kuldeep Yadav: 5/10

Kuldeep didn't get much assistance off the surface, and conceded 39 runs in his 4 overs while bowling to Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav. He showed off a quicker one that did trouble the batsmen a fair bit, and he should get better as the tournament progresses.

Sandeep Warrier: 4/10

Picked ahead of Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Prasidh Krishna, Warrier was erratic and inconsistent. The pacer conceded 34 runs in his 3 overs and although captain Karthik is a fan of his bowling, he might see himself replaced by one of the youngsters soon in IPL 2020.
