Devdutt Padikkal: 8/10

Padikkal looked calm and confident, and not at all like someone making his IPL debut. The Karnataka youngster registered a fluent fifty as he continued his rich vein of form, and IPL 2020 might just be his breakthrough season.

Aaron Finch: 5/10

Finch was more than happy to play second fiddle to Padikkal in the early part of his innings, but never really got going after being denied regular strike. The Australian captain looked slightly out of sorts, and dropped a catch off Bairstow's bat at a crucial stage of the innings that might have proven to be costly.

Virat Kohli: 5/10

Kohli got off to a sedate start as he looked to rotate strike and keep things ticking, but perished off the first attacking shot that he played. The RCB skipper ran hard between the wickets, and runs are bound to come thick and fast soon this IPL.

AB de Villiers: 8/10

De Villiers was his fluent best as he scored 51 off just 30 balls, which was an innings studded with 4 fours and 2 sixes. The South African's innings was crucial in an RCB middle order that was without Moeen Ali, and he shows so signs of slowing down despite having retired from international cricket.

Shivam Dube: 7/10

Dube never quite got going with the bat, but bowled an excellent 3 overs (2/15) in the latter part of the SRH innings. The all-rounder's capability with the ball has been under question, and his performances today would have greatly encouraged the RCB think-tank.

Josh Philippe: 4/10

Philippe was a surprising inclusion in the RCB side, and faced only two balls in the last over. The Australian had a terrible day behind the stumps as he conceded a number of byes, with some of them not acceptable at this level at all. He might be replaced by either Moeen Ali or Chris Morris for the next game.

Washington Sundar: 5/10

Sundar didn't have much to do in this game as he bowled only one over and didn't get to bat. The off-spinner probably didn't bowl more overs due to many right-handers in the SRH batting lineup, and could play a bigger role in the coming games in IPL 2020.

Dale Steyn: 6/10

Steyn didn't have a great game as he conceded 33 runs in his 3.4 overs, and his pace seems to have dropped off a touch in the recent past. The South African also dropped Bairstow, although the missed opportunity didn't cost the team too much.

Umesh Yadav: 3/10

Yadav was horrible on the night as he sprayed balls all over the place, especially on the pads. After his superb 2018 IPL season, his form has tapered off significantly, and he could find himself out of the side in favour of Morris or Siraj if his poor performances continue.

Navdeep Saini: 8/10

Saini was superb on the night as he bowled fast and accurately to finish with excellent figures of 2/25 in his 4 overs. The express pacer is arguably already the leader of the RCB bowling attack, and could prove to be Kohli's trump card in IPL 2020.

Yuzvendra Chahal: 9/10

Chahal was the star of the show with the ball in hand for RCB, and finished his Man of the Match performance with figures of 3/18 in his four overs. The leggie scalped the wickets of Jonny Bairstow, Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar to completely change the course of the match, and extracted turn off a pitch that didn't really favour the spinners.
