Keeping Indian Premier League aside, Vijay Shankar is an emerging player and the next big thing for team India. He has played only a few games for the Indian side, but impressed everyone with his application.

Little known to the people is the fact that he was once part of the yellow brigade too, in the 2014 edition of the tournament. He played only one season for the Chennai Super Kings, and played only one match. The bowling all-rounder played one innings and unfortunately didn't get any chance to bat. He bowled an over, but conceded 19 runs off of it.

As a result, Chennai Super Kings didn't retain him in the next season of 2015. He was picked by SRH in the 2016 edition, and managed to play only four games in 2017. Then he moved to Delhi for the next season and proved his worth, especially with bat. Delhi mainly used him as a batsman and the right hander managed to score 212 runs, at a healthy average of 53.00 for them.

Currently he is playing for SRH, and also has been picked for the 2019 World Cup.

Performance by Team:

CSK - 0 Runs in 1 Match

Delhi - 212 Runs in 11 innings (Avg: 53.00)

SRH - 240 Runs in 12 innings (Avg: 26.67)
