The second edition of the Mzansi Super League or Mzansi Super League 2.0 starts on 8 November and the Final will be played on 16 December 2019. A total of six teams will be participating in the competition.
According to the Mzansi League schedule 2019, each team will play every other team twice, once at home and once at the opposition’s home. That is, there will be a double round-robin stage. Every team will play 10 matches each in the league stage accounting to a total of 30 matches before the knockout stage.
The Mzansi league schedule will have just one eliminator on 13 December 2019 between the second and third placed teams. The winner of this eliminator will face the No. 1 placed team in the Finals of the tournament on 16 December 2019. The venue for the Final will be the home ground of the team that ends up at the top spot in the Mzansi points table.
The Mzansi League schedule takes the tournament forward roaming across all the venues across South Africa. The venues for this edition are Johannesburg, Durban, Paarl, Port Elizabeth, Centurion and Cape Town. Each venue will host at least 5 home matches of its franchise and the venues for the knockouts will be revealed as the tournament progresses.
The tournament promises to provide great T20 entertainment over 39 days as the Mzansi Super League timetable lists 32 excitement-filled contests in South Africa.
