Gujarat Titans (GT) opener Shubman Gill scored yet another IPL hundred to help his team beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Sunday (May 21). Gill scored an unbeaten 104 off 52 as RCB were knocked out of playoff reckoning.

The target of 198 seemed a bit tricky for the Titans after an incredible hundred from Virat Kohli. However, Gill matched the brilliance of the former Indian captain and proved why he's arguably the next big thing in Indian cricket.

Fans and former players on Twitter were thrilled to see Gill score back-to-back hundreds in the IPL and explode at the right time. Some Mumbai Indians (MI) fans also thanked Gill for helping their team reach the playoffs by eliminating RCB.

One fan said:

"This guy is just unreal. He is going to rule this generation. Subhmann Gill, create your legacy."

Here are some of the top reactions on Twitter:

Vijay Shankar & Shubman Gill set platform for GT win

RCB got off to a great start, dismissing the dangerous Wriddhiman Saha in the third over. GT promoted Vijay Shankar to No. 3, and it worked wonders, as the all-rounder consolidated the innings alongside Gill.

After struggling initially, Shankar shifted gears and got to another half-century. Gill, meanwhile, continued to play his shots at the other end as the duo added 123 runs for the second wicket.

Although GT lost a few wickets towards the end, Shubman Gill kept his cool, ensuring there would be no further hiccups. The win gives Gujarat a lot of confidence ahead of their Qualifier 1 clash against Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday.
