Australian batter and IPL legend, David Warner, has slammed Indian airline, Air India, after the Ahmedabad crash tragedy. On Thursday, June 12, Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed soon after takeoff from Ahmedabad on its way to London.
Following the accident that led to over 200 deaths, David Warner called the airline out via an Instagram story. Warner posted a screenshot of a comment by a former Air India crew member, who accused the airline of using a faulty aircraft. Tagging the airline, Warner wrote that it is 'absolutely shocking' if true. He added that he would never fly with Air India again.
"If this is true it's absolutely shocking. Thoughts go out to all the families. I would never fly @airindia ever again after this and my last interaction with them," he wrote on his story.

David Warner went unsold in the 2025 IPL mega auction
David Warner was unsold during the IPL 2025 mega auctions and hence was not a part of the recently concluded season. Warner last featured in the Indian T20 league in 2024, where he played eight matches for the Delhi Capitals (DC) and scored 168 runs.
Warner first featured in the IPL in the 2009 season, where he was also playing for the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). He is one of the most decorated players in the league's history, having played 184 matches and scored 6565 runs at an average of 40.52 with four hundreds and 62 half-centuries. The left-hander is also the fourth-highest run-getter in the history of the league, behind Indian stars Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli.
Warner also represented the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) and led them to the title in the 2016 edition, thus making himself an IPL-winning captain as well. The Australian T20 star will now be seen playing in the MLC 2025 tournament.
