Fans can expect several rain breaks when the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) square off against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday, May 21.

While GT have already confirmed the top spot with 18 points under their belt, it is a must-win game for the Bangalore-based franchise. However, playing the last game will give them the advantage of dealing with any potential net run rate (NRR) situation that might come up after the Mumbai Indians (MI) game.

If Mumbai win their last game, a win will see RCB go through to the playoffs. However, if Rohit Sharma and Co. beat the SunRisers Hyderabad in their final league game, the Royal Challengers will have to win by a good margin to sail through.

GT, on the other hand, have been the team to beat in this year's cash-rich league. They have looked on song to defend their title and will look to keep their winning momentum going before the Qualifier clash against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Tuesday, May 23.

Bangalore weather - M Chinnaswamy Stadium weather report on May 21 - Heavy rain predicted

RCB would be extremely worried about the weather forecast, given that there are heavy rain predictions in Bengaluru on Sunday. There is an approximately 70 percent chance of precipitation throughout the day with thunderstorms in prediction during the game.

Meanwhile, the temperature will hover between 23 and 27 degrees Celsius, with the humidity expected to be in the 80s.

If rain doesn't allow any play in Bengaluru on Sunday and Mumbai win their last game, RCB will have to fifth-place finish, missing out on the playoff berth by a whisker.
