Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) social media admin said sorry to India's new T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav shortly after the BCCI announced him as the skipper. The LSG admin could not create a proper edit for Yadav due to the Microsoft Windows outage globally, and hence, he had to post a child-like drawing.
The IPL teams congratulated Suryakumar Yadav in their own unique ways after he was elected the new T20I captain of India. Lucknow Super Giants decided to use the Microsoft Windows outage trend and made a rough sketch of Suryakumar playing a shot over fine leg.
In the upper part of the picture, LSG wrote, "Mr. 360 (c)" and in the corner, they drew the logo of their franchise. Captioning the picture, LSG wrote on X:
"Sorry @surya_14kumar bhai, designer ka software crash ho gaya."
The post from Lucknow has received more than 1,000 likes on X inside four hours. Quite a few fans were impressed with the admin's creativity, while some users laughed at the drawing as well.
Can Suryakumar Yadav lead India to another T20I series victory?
Before the BCCI named Suryakumar as the new captain of India in T20Is, he stepped in as the skipper for the home series against Australia and the away series against South Africa. While India beat Australia 4-1, the series against the Proteas ended in a 1-1 draw.
Yadav's next challenge as captain will be Sri Lanka, who suffered a group-stage exit in the 2024 T20 World Cup after losing against South Africa and Bangladesh. The Islanders will be keen to bounce back in the shortest format of the game.
The next T20 World Cup will be held in 2026 in India and Sri Lanka. Both teams will aim to begin their preparations for that mega event in the upcoming series. The first T20I will take place on July 27 in Pallekele.
