Rinku Singh shares adorable engagement photo with SRK's Bollywood hit song [In Picture]

Team India and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh shared an adorable picture from his engagement with Priya Saroj on social media on Thursday, June 12. The couple got engaged on Sunday, June 8, at The Centrum in Lucknow.

The 27-year-old posted the picture on his Instagram stories, where the couple is seen smiling together. He paired the post with the popular Bollywood song ‘Lutt Putt Gaya,’ sung by Arijit Singh, from KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan’s 2023-released film 'Dunki.'

Rinku’s fiancée, Priya Saroj, 26, is in her first term as a Member of Parliament with the Samajwadi Party. She represents the Machhlishahr constituency in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Several notable personalities attended the engagement ceremony on Sunday. Among the political dignitaries were Congress leader and BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla, Samajwadi Party President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, along with his wife, Dimple Yadav. Veteran actress and politician Jaya Bachchan was also present at the ceremony.

From the cricketing world, prominent names such as Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Piyush Chawla, and Uttar Pradesh Ranji Trophy captain Aryan Juyal marked their presence at the celebration.

Rinku Singh endured a disappointing IPL 2025 season with Kolkata Knight Riders

Rinku Singh was last seen in action representing the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2025, which concluded on June 3, with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) clinching their maiden title.

Under Ajinkya Rahane's leadership, last year's champions KKR had a forgettable 2025 season, finishing eighth in the points table with just 12 points from 14 games. Rinku, too, had a below-par campaign, managing 206 runs in 11 innings at an average of 29.42 and a strike rate of 153.73.

Overall, the left-hander has featured in 59 IPL matches, amassing 1,099 runs at an average of 30.52 and a strike rate of 145.17. He has four half-centuries to his name, with his highest score being an unbeaten 67 off 33 balls against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 2023 season.
