Mumbai Indians (MI) star batter Rohit Sharma posed with the Wankhede Stadium ground staff in front of the stand named after him, post the conclusion of the IPL 2025 season. MI made it to the playoffs but lost the second qualifier against the Punjab Kings (PBKS), who lost to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the final.

During the season, one of the stands at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai was renamed after Rohit Sharma with a grand inauguration ceremony.

On Thursday, the 38-year-old was present at the stadium during the ongoing Mumbai T20 League. The star batter was seen posing with the Wankhede Stadium ground staff in front of the stand named after him. In a photo that has surfaced on social media, Rohit Sharma can be seen standing, with ground staff surrounding him. He sported a plain blue t-shirt with jeans and shoes.

A look at Rohit Sharma's IPL 2025 campaign

Rohit Sharma had another 400-plus-run season in IPL 2025. He was among the core players retained by MI ahead of the mega auction last November. While he did not have a great start to the tournament with the bat and was struggling to find his rhythm, the 38-year-old picked himself up later on, making some valuable contributions.

MI did not have a great start either, losing four out of their first five matches. However, Rohit scoring runs was a key factor in their turnaround, among others. The right-hander finished the season with 418 runs from 15 matches at an average of 29.85 and a strike-rate of 149.28 with four half-centuries.

His highest score of 81 in the season came in the Eliminator against the Gujarat Titans (GT). During the IPL 2024 season, Rohit had scored 417 runs from 14 matches at an average of 32.07 and a strike-rate of 150, with a century and a half-century, making it back-to-back seasons with over 400 runs for the veteran.

Rohit will be keen to help the team put up a better performance next year.
