IPL 2018 : Overseas players who are unlikely to make it into the starting lineup

Chennai Super Kings v Royal Challengers Bangalore - IPL T20
Overseas players have always added glamour to each season of the IPL

#5 Moeen Ali - Royal Challengers Bangalore

Australia v England - Fifth Test: Day 2
Moeen Ali has been a core member of the English squad in all three formats

Moeen Ali is a core member of the English squad. One would be definitely shocked to see his name here but with overseas players like AB de Villiers, Brendon McCullum, Quinton de Cock, Chris Woakes in the team it will be very tough for Ali to get a place in the XI.

He has bought for 1.70 Cr by Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Moeen Ali has contributed a lot for the English team in both the Test and ODI formats.

He has played 49 Test Matches in his career and scored 2467 runs and bagged 133 wickets at an exceptional economy of 3.63.

He also has an experience of 73 ODIs and scored 1449 runs at a decent strike rate of 112.84 and bagged 60 wickets.

#6 Akila Dananjaya - Mumbai Indians

Sri Lanka v New Zealand - ICC World Twenty20 2012: Super Eights Group 1
Dananjaya has been a find for the Sri Lankan team

Akila Dananjaya was bought by Mumbai Indians for INR 50 lakhs. The Sri Lankan is known for deceiving the batsmen with his flight.

However, with players like Kieron Pollard, Pat Cummins, Evin Lewis, Ben Cutting and Mustafizur Rahman in the team it is unlikely for Dananjaya to make the cut into the XI.

Dananjaya has played 19 ODIs and bagged 21 wickets with an impressive economy of 4.98. In his test debut itself against Bangladesh, Dananjaya bagged eight wickets and was adjudged as the man of the match.
