Rahul Tewatia is a batting all-rounder who plays for the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was born on May 20, 1993, in Sihi, Haryana. He plays for his home state Haryana in the domestic circuit. He bowls right-arm leg-break and is primarily a left-handed batsman who scores crucial boundaries for his team in the lower-middle order.

Rahul Tewatia IPL Salary

The Rajasthan Royals bought Rahul Tewatia for his base price of INR 10 lakhs in the IPL 2014 auction. After being retained for three seasons, the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) bought him for INR 25 lakhs in the 2017 IPL auction. The following year, The Delhi Capitals (DC) acquired him for INR 3 crore in the IPL 2018 mega auction. In the IPL 2020 mini-auction, the Royals purchased Tewatia for INR 3 crore and joined his former franchise. He was released after two seasons and was signed by the Gujarat Titans for INR 9 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction. According to Gujarat Titans’ official website, Tewatia was retained for INR 4 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.

According to Gujarat Titans’ official website, Rahul Tewatia was retained by the Gujarat Titans for the IPL 2025 as an uncapped player.

Rahul Tewatia received his maiden IPL contract from the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2014. In IPL 2017, the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) offered a contract for the bowling all-rounder. In the next season, the Delhi Capitals signed a deal with Tewatia. After a couple of seasons, he returned to the Royals setup before being acquired by the newly-launched Gujarat Titans. According to Gujarat Titans’ official website, Tewatia is one among the five retained players of the Titans for IPL 2025.
