How to start the quest

Head to the Horns of the South compound in the southwestern part of the map. Speak to Cillian and go through the conversation options. Once you ask about available work, he’ll tell you about the Ogre problem. After that, the quest will be added to your log.

Finding and defeating the Ogre

You’ll find the Ogre in the Ruined Broch, located in the eastern section of the map. If you don’t have that fast travel point unlocked, you can either:

• Travel from the Temple of the All-Mother and head south, or
• Go east from the Abandoned Village.

When you get close to the fortress ruins, you’ll see several dead bodies (one of them has a Flame Torrent Spell), which is evidence of the Ogre’s recent activity. You can sneak in and walk inside, and you’ll find it with its back turned. Either attack immediately or prepare before the fight starts.

The creature uses heavy melee attacks. Here are a few things to watch for:

• Its rock throw can hit hard from a distance.
• It uses a slam attack that creates a small shockwave.
• Its charged melee hits can knock you down.

Stay patient during the fight, watch for openings, and try to avoid being surrounded if other enemies are nearby. I recommend using the Skeleton Army spell to keep the monster distracted. Once it’s down, loot the body. You can also loot the nearby crates; items like Moonshine, Whisky, and more can be found.

After killing the ogre, you’ll receive:

• Ogre Bounty
• Ogre Claw
• Monster Blood
• Ogre Tooth

Return to Cillian at the Horns of the South and hand in the bounty. You’ll receive:

• 1,000 EXP
