Liverpool might not be the most successful Premier League club in England anymore, but they still have the pedigree to sign some of the best players in the world. Owing to their rich history -- they've won more European Cups and Champions League titles combined than any other club -- and their consistency in the domestic league, the Merseyside outfit remain a good option to play for in England.

In recent times, owing to the massive TV revenue and the match day income, Liverpool have spent good money on players. Under Jurgen Klopp, another aspect they've improved on is getting good money for they players they don't need at the club.
When you think of Liverpool, the most obvious thing that comes to mind is their free-flowing attacking approach. It worked for Klopp at Germany and he has managed to build another great attacking side at Merseyside. Roberto Firmino was signed under former manager Brendan Rodgers, but by spending good money on Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah more recently, Liverpool have one hell of a front three.
In the last transfer window, Liverpool were involved in two big money moves, First, they signed Southampton star Virgil van Dijk in what was a record sum for a defender. A few days later, they let Philippe Coutinho leave for Barcelona for only the second highest transfer fee recorded ever.
Though Liverpool didn't sign a replacement, they have agreed a move for Naby Keita which will see him join in the coming summer. Keita will become the second most expensive signing in Liverpool history, unless they spend money on someone else, of course.
Liverpool - Recent Transfers
Liverpool were pretty active in the summer transfer window as Klopp likes to give his players a full pre-season. The side strengthened the midfield with the acquisition of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Kevin Stewart and Lucas Leiva left the club for Hull City and Lazio respectively.
The club also signed Andrew Robertson to solve the problematic left-back position and he has turned out to be a good signing for a meagre fee of £8.10m. As mentioned before, Mohamed Salah was also signed for a fee of £37.80m and it's safe to say now that he was a bargain for even that fee. Divock Origi was loaned out to Wolfsburg in the summer.
In the winter transfer window, the club signed van Dijk for a club record fee and sold Coutinho to Barcelona. Midfielder Marko Grujic was loaned out to Cardiff City as the Serbian was in need of first team football to help him with his development. Follow all the latest Liverpool transfer news below!
