The Premier League is undoubtedly the most-watched footballing spectacle in the world with a number of world-class personalities plying their trade in the league. Premier League's ticket prices have always raised eyebrows as the prices are deemed high when compared to the other leagues in Europe.

BBC conducted a study named the Sport Price of Football in which they revealed the numbers as far as the supporters were concerned. A number of notable points have been given below which reveal the varied prices which the supporters have to bear.

North London clubs lead the pack

When it comes to season tickets, North London is leading the way with both Arsenal and Spurs setting huge prices for their most expensive season ticket. The Gunners charge £2013 while their rivals, Spurs cash in £1895 for their highest season ticket.

Emirates stadium has always been considered an expensive place to watch football as even their cheapest season ticket is priced at £1014 which is more expensive than the highest at every club in England barring West Ham and Chelsea.

There is one club, however, that even beats Arsenal's humongous ticket prices. Paris Saint-Germain charge a whopping £2588.75 for their most expensive season ticket whereas European champions, Real Madrid offer their highest at £1587.84.

Premier League cheaper than the Championship

BBC's study has revealed a heartening fact about the Premier League as it states that it is now cheaper to watch an away game in the Premier League than it is in the Championship. Newly promoted side, Hull City offer the cheapest season ticket in the Premier League with their prices being cheaper than 88 percent of season tickets in the second tier of English football. The likes of Stoke City, West Ham and Manchester City offer their season tickets for below £300.

In the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich charge just £120.89 for their season ticket which is roughly £17 a game. FC Porto charge £86.31 for their cheapest season pass while FC Barcelona, one of the biggest sides in the world, charge just £113.93 for their least expensive season ticket.

When it comes to a single ticket, Arsenal again lead the way as they charge a massive £97 for a single game followed by Chelsea at £87. Spurs and West Ham charge £81 and £80 respectively with the London clubs being the most expensive in England. PSG beats every other club hands down as they charge £233.12 for their most expensive single ticket. AC Milan and Inter Milan are also on this list as the Italian clubs charge £215 and £241 for their most expensive single game pass.

Liverpool’s single ticket cheapest in the league

Liverpool charge £59 for their most expensive ticket but make up for it with a £9 cheapest pass for a single game which is the lowest in the Premier League matched just by Hull. Chelsea charge the most expensive 'cheap' single ticket in the league as the Blues don't offer a ticket for less than £52.

Valencia and Marseille offer their cheapest pass at £8.53 each whereas the likes of Bayern Munich, Schalke and Inter Milan all offer their cheapest single ticket at £20.

BBC started this study in 2011 and is the biggest of its type in Europe.
