FC Barcelona enter the race for Real Madrid target

Spanish outlet, Sport has speculated that Barcelona have entered the race for Real Betis' Dani Ceballos. The young midfielder impressed for the Spain U-21 side in the Euros, initially catching the eye of Real Madrid scouts. Los Blancos were ready to sign him this summer with an option to loan him back to Betis for a season but Barcelona are ready to offer Ceballos first team football straightway which might swing the pendulum in their favour. The Catalans also hope to include Cristian Tello in the deal to sweeten the deal.

Atletico Madrid defender wants to leave

Jose Gimenez has grown frustrated with his role at Atletico Madrid which has prompted him to think about his future. AS claims that the Uruguayan defender wants to move away from Madrid to have a solid chance of playing in next year's World Cup. Inter Milan and Manchester United remain interested in the centre back.
