Bryson DeChambeau, born September 16, 1993, is an American professional golfer with 13 professional wins as of April 2025. He won the 2010 California State Junior Championship while attending Clovis East High School and later played college golf at Southern Methodist University, winning six amateur titles, including the 2015 U.S. Amateur and NCAA Division I Championship.

DeChambeau turned pro in 2016 and earned his first PGA Tour win at the 2017 John Deere Classic. He won the U.S. Open in 2020 and 2024, becoming the third golfer after Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods to win the NCAA Championship, U.S. Amateur, and U.S. Open. Since joining LIV Golf in 2022, he has added two more titles in 2023 at Greenbrier and Chicago. As of April 2025, he is ranked No. 19 in the OWGR and is known for his scientific approach to the game, including the use of single-length irons and customized clubs.

Bryson DeChambeau’s WITB

Bryson DeChambeau’s 2025 bag has more or less been changed completely from what "the scientist" was using in 2024. He uses Krank Formula Fire woods, including a six-degree driver (set to five degrees), a 3-wood, and a 5-wood, all paired with LA Golf Bryson Series shafts. His irons are custom Avodo Golf Prototype Single Length models (5–PW), also equipped with LA Golf shafts, supporting his single-plane swing method. DeChambeau carries three Ping Glide 4.0 wedges of 60, 56, and 45 degrees and putts with a SIK Pro C-Series Armlock. He plays a Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash ball and uses Jumbo Max grips for added control (via Golf Monthly).

Bryson DeChambeau's Driver – Krank Formula Fire

DeChambeau uses a Krank Formula Fire driver with a loft angle of six degrees set at five degrees. The driver is installed with an LA Golf Bryson Series shaft. He has previously said that he preferred the Krank products due to the increased curvature of the face, which aids in the gear effect on his high-speed mishits, as per Golf Monthly.

Bryson DeChambeau's Fairway Woods – Krank Formula Fire

DeChambeau carries both a three-wood and a five-wood, each a Krank Formula Fire model. Both woods are fitted with LA Golf Bryson Series shafts. It's not normally considered one of the best fairway woods and is a rather unconventional option, but it's completely expected from DeChambeau given the analytical reputation he has.

Bryson DeChambeau's Irons – Avodo Golf Prototype Single Length

DeChambeau plays Avodo Golf Prototype Single Length irons from 5-iron through pitching wedge. Each iron is equipped with LA Golf Bryson Series iron shafts. As per Golf Monthly, his irons are a custom single-length set from 5-iron to 60-degree lob wedge.

Made by Avoda Golf, they uniquely feature a curved face to leverage the gear effect typically found in woods. The irons also have unconventional lofts, such as a 40-degree pitching wedge and a 17-degree five-iron. They are fitted with 125g LA Golf Bryson Series iron shafts.

Bryson DeChambeau's Wedges – Ping Glide 4.0

DeChambeau’s wedge setup includes three custom-made Ping Glide 4.0 wedges with lofts of 60, 56, and 45 degrees. He uses shafts from the LA Golf Bryson Series, much like he does with his irons. They were listed as one of the top wedges in Golf Monthly. Further, they also agree that it is one of the best because of the outstanding turf interaction on short shots.

Bryson DeChambeau's Putter – SIK Pro C-Series Armlock

DeChambeau uses a SIK Pro C-Series Armlock putter. According to Golf Monthly, in 2017, DeChambeau began experimenting with arm lock techniques, which have helped him become a very good putter statistically. His go-to putter is the SIK Pro C-Series Armlock, which has a JumboMax JMX Jumboflat 17 grip and a thick LA Golf shaft. Further, the shaft's weight and position on the putter head make its heel the best part.

Bryson DeChambeau's Golf Ball – Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash

DeChambeau plays the Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash golf ball, which is designed for low spin and a firm feel, suited to his high-speed swing. He had a contract with the Bridgestone Tour B X ball, but it was mutually terminated when he joined LIV Golf.
