Wyndham Clark's

Wyndham American professional golfer Robert Clark, known as Wyndham Clark, was born on December 9, 1993, and now competes on the PGA Tour. He won his first PGA Tour event, the Wells Fargo Championship, in May 2023. He won his first major, the 2023 U.S. Open a month later. He has secured victories in two PGA Tour events, including the prestigious 2023 U.S. Open Championship. Notably, Clark's golf bag has seen some transformations in recent years. As of 2023, he has joined forces with Titleist, relying on a comprehensive collection of clubs from the brand to fuel his game.

Wyndham Clark’s Driver

Previously a PXG staff member, Clark now uses almost all of the bag of Titleist clubs and appears to be under contract with the company. He starts with a nine-degree lofted Titleist TSi3 driver with an Accra TZ Six ST 60 M5 shaft installed.

"I use this driver because it’s so consistent. My misses are incredible, and that’s big for me,” Clark said. “When you miss with the Titleist, it stays within the parameters that I need to play good golf. And that’s ultimately why I use Titleist clubs, especially this driver.”

Wyndham Clark’s 3-wood

The next club Clark uses is a 15-degree TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway wood, which is his first club not made by Titleist. A Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 80 TX shaft is also attached to it.

Excellent speed made it easier for golfers searching for a little extra punch to get the ball down the fairway, but the versatility of this club is one of its best features.

Wyndham Clark’s Irons

Clark uses a Titleist T200 utility iron instead of another fairway wood as a three-iron. He switches to a set of Titleist 620 CBs from the four-iron down to the nine-iron.

The CBs have a standard appearance with a small head, a narrow sole, and little offset. The 3 and 4 irons' thinner toplines and tungsten weighting provide some forgiveness, while the set's carefully chosen Center of Gravity placements help produce excellent workability and immediate feedback.

Wyndham Clark’s Wedges

Clark currently works with four Vokey wedges, three of which are SM9s (46-10F, 52-12F, and 56-10S), and a Vokey Design WedgeWorks as his lob wedge.

"I use the SM9s; these are incredible. Vokey's done a great job in creating a wedge that launches at the launch you want, which is kind of a lower launch but with a ton of spin. And that's what all of us out here strive and try to get with our wedges—that lower launch that fights through the wind. But then, when it lands, it is really receptive."

"In the 46, I use the 10F, and then the same thing pretty much with the 52, I use the F Grind, which is a little touch more bounce, so that I’m very shallow. And so when I try to hit a low trap draw or a high soft wedge, it reacts the same and doesn't dig."

"The 56, I have the 10S, which is 10 degrees of bounce, and the S Grind, which has a touch less than my other wedges, 46 and 52. This is a very versatile club for me, has a ton of spin, and I’m able to attack both front and backs pins with this."

"The most important club for me, probably in my bag, is this A grind. I use the SM9 60 degree A grind, which is a low bounce 60, which I think is very versatile. And I'm able to—on tight lies, rough, wet lies, firm lies, whatever it is—hit the shot I want. And with the amount of spin I want, trajectory, and everything. So these SM9s are, I think, the best wedges ever made.”

Wyndham Clark’s Putter

The final club in Clark's bag is once again not a Titleist product. It is an Odyssey Jailbird Versa model, the same type of mallet Rickie Fowler uses. He appears to have put a larger and longer Superstroke grip on it, similar to Fowler's design.

Wyndham Clark’s Golf Ball

Clark's golf ball is a Titleist Pro V1x.

Since the early 2000s, Titleist has produced variants of the Pro V1x, and its popularity has steadily grown over time, both on Tour and in amateur competition. The Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x are the most successful golf balls in the professional game, having won over 3000 Tour events. You can rely on these golf balls to function admirably and to fly steadily.

The Pro V1x performs exceptionally well while approaching greens and in the short game because of its enormous length off the tee. Compared to the Pro V1, the Pro V1x is a stiffer ball, but it still feels excellent off every club in the bag. Many of the best golfers in the world adore the Pro V1x because of its superior feel and overall high-quality performance, which justifies its premium pricing. Given that these are undoubtedly the best golf balls money can buy, some people can understand this.

In his own words, “I play (Pro V1x) because it’s kind of the perfect combination for me of launch and spin. … I'm a low spin player, I have a lot of speed, but I don't spin the ball very much. And the Pro V1x, especially with my irons and driver, spins at the numbers that I want. Also, I think it's great around the greens. So I’ve always been looking for a spin. And this Pro V1x gives me exactly what I need.”
