5 reasons to own Declasse Drift Tampa in GTA Online in 2024

Declasse Drift Tampa was introduced in GTA Online as a Sports Car way back in July 2016. Rockstar Games added it via the Cunning Stunts update and while it hasn't been a particularly popular vehicle for most of its existence, recent additions to the multiplayer have made it a useful and attractive commodity. Drift Tampa is also up for grabs as the Diamond Casino Podium Vehicle until June 19, 2024, meaning that there is a chance to claim it for free.

However, you may want to learn a few things about it before deciding to add it to your collection. With that said, here are five reasons to own a Declasse Drift Tampa in GTA Online in 2024.

1) Compatible with Drift Tuning

Drift Tuning is a vehicular modification that was introduced via The Chop Shop DLC. Its application significantly boosts a car's drifting ability. As of this writing, eight GTA Online vehicles are compatible with this modification and the Declasse Drift Tampa is one of them.

Vehicles compatible with Drift Tuning can also participate in the multiplayer Drift Races, and Drift Tampa is a pretty good choice for this competition.

2) Looks cool

Sports and Super Cars constitute some of the best-looking cars in GTA Online. The Declasse Drift Tampa, belonging to the former category, doesn't disappoint in this regard either and looks to be based on cars like the 1964 Ford Mustang, 1970 Dodge Dart, 1968 Chevrolet Nova, and the 1968 Dodge Charger to some extent.

Drift Tampa's bonnet is especially unique, featuring exposed velocity stacks. The interior of this week's GTA Online Podium Vehicle exudes a Sports Car look as well, thanks to the race car seats and a plethora of dials and switches on the dash.

3) Roaring engine

Declasse Drift Tampa is one of the best-sounding cars in GTA Online. Its engine roars with movement and one can even hear its gears grinding when the car is stationary. Although this factor isn't a competitive asset, it does make driving the Drift Tampa a lot more enjoyable.

It may not be the best statistically, having a top speed of 114.25 mph (as per popular GTA YouTuber - Broughy1322) post full upgradation, but is quick enough for free-roaming and general traversal.

If the aforementioned attributes have you interested in the Declasse Drift Tampa, then you can go ahead and purchase it from the Southern San Andreas Super Autos website for just $995,000. This is a rather cheap price tag from the context of GTA Online and can be afforded very easily by selling a few Salvage Yard Robbery vehicles.

Additionally, you can try to get it for free by spinning Diamond Casino's Lucky Wheel. The offer will be available until June 19, 2024; but note that the wheel can be spun just once every 24 hours in real life.

Declasse Drift Tampa's base price of $995,000 not only makes it cheap overall, but also the cheapest car compatible with Drift Tuning. While Drift Yosemite can be purchased for $981,000; that is only when its Trade Price is unlocked, and it has a base price of $1,308,000.

Therefore, if you wish to get a taste of Drift Tuning, but are on a tight budget, Declasse Drift Tampa is the way to go. As already mentioned, selling Salvage Yard Robbery vehicles or taking advantage of GTA Online weekly update bonuses can greatly assist in affording this car.
