There are plenty of roleplaying elements in GTA San Andreas that make the game so replayable, and some of these should return in GTA 6. The upcoming Grand Theft Auto title has generated enough hype that fans are making wishlists of things they want to see in it, and RPG aspects are a commonly demanded feature.

These would make the game feel a lot more immersive, and much like San Andreas, would also increase the replayability value. With the rise in popularity of GTA RP, roleplaying has been trending in the Grand Theft Auto community. So, the time is ripe for bringing back RPG features in GTA 6.

1) Gyms (balancing fat and muscle)

Having the ability to customize your character to the point where you can modify their physique is one of the most unique roleplaying elements in GTA San Andreas. Gyms allow you to increase your muscle by lifting weights and get leaner by doing more cardio. Meanwhile, eating a lot of fast food makes you fat.

A muscular CJ does more melee damage, a leaner CJ runs fast and has more stamina, but a fat CJ is slow, gets tired easily, and can't cross over certain obstacles. According to a rumor, GTA 6 will be bringing back gyms, which would make the game truly immersive.

2) Weapon skills

In GTA San Andreas, if you keep using a particular weapon quite frequently, you'll keep gaining experience and raise your skill with that weapon. Although this feature was reintroduced in Grand Theft Auto 5, it wasn't as in-depth as in its predecessor. Improving your weapon skills gives you an edge in combat, making it one of the coolest roleplaying elements in GTA San Andreas.

For instance, certain weapons will become available for dual wielding on reaching a high enough level. Others give you less recoil or you can roll around while carrying it. Such a system added a degree of immersion to GTA San Andreas, and it would certainly have a similar same effect in GTA 6.

3) Vehicle skills

Just like with weapons, vehicles and driving skills are among the most fascinating roleplaying elements in GTA San Andreas. However, unlike weapons, this skill system applies to a type of vehicle instead of specific models. For instance, if you keep driving cars you'll start to get better at handling them. A neat little detail here is that at high skill levels, CJ no longer turns back when going backwards with a car, and uses the rear-view mirror instead.

4) Detailed character customization

While you can define your physique in San Andreas, another simpler feature is your ability to choose from a large selection of clothes, hairstyles, hair colors, and even tattoos. This is inarguably one of the most basic roleplaying elements in GTA San Andreas but it's also what made the game so much fun.

Players can dress CJ up in typical 90s fashion, where different stores represented the different types of fashion. You can roleplay as a biker, a smart businessman, a punk rocker, a typical Grove Street gangbanger, or even as country people. GTA 6 needs this level of in-depth customization which is somewhat missing in GTA 5, where you can't mix and match all types of clothes.

5) Special statistics

While skills and physique are some of the more essential roleplaying elements in GTA San Andreas, the game also comes with a Respect and Sex Appeal counter. While the former is gained by conquering more territory for your gang, the latter is defined by your clothing and vehicles.

The more respect you have, the more gang members you can recruit to fight alongside you. Sex Appeal was necessary for dating most of CJ's girlfriends in the game, although most of them came with some additional demands.
