Ryan Rickelton [Player of the Match, Mumbai Indians]: It feels awesome, the family has come down this week, and great to put on a show ahead of them. Such a great group, we are finding the momentum at the right time. It was a slow start in the tournament for both of us, but we are clicking as a partnership in the first two or three overs, but we have done well nicely and as partners have done well to pick our moments. Coming to India for the first time, you want to alter your game according to the conditions. Did that for the first half of the tournament nd now only make subtle changes as needed. It is such a strong think tank, very happy to share my opinion. They let me do my thing.

Hardik Pandya [captain, Mumbai Indians]: The way we batted and the way we bowled, absolutely (We were clinical.) We could have got 15 runs more, we were looking to play percentage shots, and there is value for shots, and look for the gap, and that is why we were able to stitch a partnership. Trent Boult (3/28 off 2.1 overs in the 2nd innings): "As a unit, can't ask for much better than that. Great all-round performance! There are a lot of combinations there, great experience, and six wins from six is a great run. Looking forward to the next one for sure. I've had a bit of experience here, it's one of the best wickets in terms of bounce and I made use of that. Jasprit Bumrah needs no introduction, he's just a class act! We won't get too ahead of ourselves, just focus on the next game now."

Riyan Parag (Rajasthan Royals captain): "We've got to give credit to the way MI batted. They paced their innings really way. We were just not good enough. 190 to 200 would have been ideal, but Hardik bhaiya and Surya bhaiya were just too good. We tried to back ourselves to get this total chased. We've got to focus on the good things, also, focus on all the shortcomings. We've had some close games too. Hope the remaining games go well and we improve on those aspects."

Absolute DoMInation. This is a fine display of cricket by the Mumbai Indians. They're ruthless with the ball, ruthless with the bat and ruthless in the field as well. This win was of huge help for the Mumbai Indians, who, with a net run rate of 1.27 and 14 points, move to the first place in the points table! Also, this loss sees RR's becoming the second team after Chennai Super Kings to be eliminated in the group stages.

Mumbai Indians had an early breakthrough when Vaibhav Suryavanshi was dismissed for a two-ball duck. Yashasvi Jaiswal did give them a scare, but Trent Boult managed to see the back of him, just as Deepak Chahar did to dismiss Nitish Rana. Further damage was ensured when Jasprit Bumrah was brought into the attack in the fifth over, and he dismissed Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer in consecutive deliveries.

Rajasthan Royals were further dismantled as they lost Shubham Dubey, their last recognised batter, cheaply. From there on it was a struggle for the Men in Pink as wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Jofra Archer and Akash Madhwal put on a fight for the last wicket, but the wicket of Archer saw the game end, and the Mumbai Indians took the bragging rights.

MI bowled like the well-rounded unit they are. Karn Sharma and Trent Boult picked up three wickets each, while Jasprit Bumrah picked up two wickets. Deepak Chahar and Hardik Pandya, who bowled an over each, shared a wicket each, with Bosch being the only bowler to not have a wicket to his name.
